This post is going to be a little different than any other post up until this point as it is less informational and more observational. Basically, I wanted to take a time out and really look at the stop smoking industry. It’s friggin’ huge! When you think about it, the smoking cessation industry is set up for infinite success. There are tons of different products and services related to quitting smoking out there such as stop smoking aids, stop smoking hypnosis, medication, guides…the list goes on and on. This isn’t the half of it, though. The real money factor is the fact that there will always be smokers who are trying to quit and there will always be new people becoming smokers.

The fact that this industry has an endless cycle of buyers is just mind blowing. I mean, when you step back and begin to think about it, it really is humbling. It’s kind of funny too because you’ve got insanely profitable industries on both sides of the smoking game. On one side you’ve got the drug which makes addiction happen in the first place and keeps people coming back for more and more and more. And on the other side you’ve got products that help those smokers who desperately want to quit their addiction and move on. One industry is obviously ethically better than the other but they are both extremely huge nonetheless. Thinking about the economics behind quitting smoking really is something interesting, I’ll tell ya. Anyway, just some food for thought.

If you’d like to stop smoking then you should know that there are plenty of ways to do so – maybe even too many ways. You certainly aren’t tied down to a single method when it comes to quitting which allows for flexibility. With that said, it is important to note that there is no stop smoking method out there that is going to make the process of quitting easy. Well, I shouldn’t say that there are absolutely no methods out there that make quitting easy but the fact of the matter is that for the most part, quitting cigarettes is going to be hard. You can’t be fully reliant on a method because in the end a method isn’t what’s going to get you to quit, you are. And since you are ultimately responsible for your quitting success, you should put a fair amount of effort towards finding a method that is right for you.

The truth is that not all stop smoking methods are created equally. I’m not talking about the effectiveness of each and every stop smoking method but rather how each and every relates to you. Not all stop smoking methods are created equally because not all methods are going to produce the same results for you. For example, the use of nicotine gum might help one smoker make tremendous changes in their lifestyle and subsequently quit cigarettes for good while only prolonging addiction to nicotine for another smoker. This is something you need to realize when quitting smoking because it can help you tremendously throughout your journey.

By realizing that not every stop smoking method is going to do it for you, you will be able to make better decisions initially as well as keep on persisting. If you realize that you need to put forth some effort towards finding a method that is right for you then you are more likely to find a method that will in fact work for you. Yeah, you can jump into quitting cigarettes and pick the first method that you see but it probably won’t have the same effect as fine tuning your selection. Instead of picking a method at random you should be doing your research and considering methods based on what you think would work best for you. Also, if and when a certain method doesn’t work out for you, you will be more likely to keep on going with your attempt at quitting. You won’t give up on the idea of quitting but rather you will be open to exploring new methods since you know that not every method will work for you.

Stop smoking therapy is just one of the many methods of quitting smoking. However, when comparing stop smoking therapy to other methods such as smoking aids and medications it is hardly as popular a method. You don’t see as many advertisements for stop smoking therapy as you do for other stop smoking methods, namely medications. But then again, this could just be me. Anyhow, if you are someone who is interested in using therapy as a means of quitting then you should first make sure that it is the right method for you.

When it comes to using therapeutic means in order to quit smoking it seems as though laser therapy is the most popular type. While I haven’t investigated each and every type of stop smoking out there, this seems to be a type of therapy that is being pushed the most. In fact, it seems as though this is really the only type of therapy you see being advertised. I have yet to come across a traditional type of therapy offered in the field of quitting smoking. It is something that is very surprising to me as I thought it would be a prominent form of kicking the habit. To me, going to a therapist who specializes in helping people quit would probably be very helpful.

With that said, it looks as though I’ll be focusing on laser therapy for stop smoking as it is the only type I have come across as of yet. This type of therapy mimics the effects of acupuncture by helping you to release a state of deep relaxation as well allow you to release endorphins, your body’s natural pain killer. As far as I can tell, laser therapy helps you to quit smoking by giving you pleasurable sensations. The sensations experienced during the laser therapy are a substitute for those experienced during smoking. The nicotine in cigarettes is what makes you crave them day in and day out and when you deprive your brain of the nicotine “high” it sends you the message that you want more of it. Instead of smoking a cigarette in order to get these feelings you can use laser therapy in order to substitute them.

So, is stop smoking therapy worth it? If you want to decide whether or not this type of stop smoking technique is the right one for you you’ll have to decide whether or not you think the method is effective. On the surface it seems as though it is a method that could potentially help you to quit by replacing feelings associated with nicotine consumption. One the flip side, you’ll have to also look into the costs associated with laser therapy and decide whether or not it is worth it compared to other methods on the market.

The thing about quitting smoking is that there are literally thousands upon thousands of stop smoking products, aids, techniques, and tricks out there. It really is too much at times. One could decide to quit smoking cigarettes today and honestly decide otherwise tomorrow simply because of being overwhelmed by all of the the different possibilities. Think about it, it doesn’t help to get something done, especially something as hard as quitting smoking, when you have all of these different solutions being thrown at you. And to make matters worse each type of solution for quitting (smoking aids, products, etc.) has its own insane variety to choose from. One solution in particular, the use of stop smoking products, is one that suffers from insane variety and is one that isn’t so guaranteed to work. This is why it is so important to make sure that the use of a quit smoking product is the right option for you before going ahead and pursuing it.

Why Use A Product To End Your Smoking Habit?

The first thing to think about when considering the use of a product for quitting smoking is why you’d like to use such a product. Is it because you don’t believe you can go cold turkey? Do you lack the motivation to stick with any of the many smoking cessation techniques? Do you want any “easy” stop smoking solution? Whatever your own reasoning may be you need to find out what it is. You need to identify your reason and you need to determine whether or not it is a realistic one. Because I’ll tell you right now, just because you are using a stop smoking product does not mean that the product will solve your addiction in its entirety. Yes, a product designed to end your nicotine addiction will help tremendously with your cravings and it will give you that extra shove. However, you cannot expect a product to do all of the work for you if you aren’t already committed to quitting yourself. You see, in order for a smoking aid to do its job correctly you need to be there with it mentally. What I mean by this is that you need to actually want to quit and have that drive to make it work. In the end, your success is all about your mindset. A smoking aid simply cannot take care of all the hard work.

There Are Many Types Of Stop Smoking Products

Another important thing that you need to think about concerning the use of a product is the fact that there are many different types. Like I said in the beginning of this article, there are tons and tons of options when it comes to quitting smoking and it only gets more confusing once you decide to go with a certain option. Even if you decide that a stop smoking aid is the right solution for you, you still need to figure out which type of product you would like to purchase as all products are far from created equally.

The main types of stop smoking products are natural/herbal products and nicotine based products. There are also prescription strength stop smoking drugs but these tend to carry a lot more risks then all natural and nicotine based products. Natural aids are designed to help you deal with the cravings and addiction of smoking. These types of aids take that edge off of your addiction in order to help you deal with smoking cessation without having to deal with the over clouded judgment of addiction. One the other hand, nicotine based aids are meant to help you quit smoking by giving you lower doses of nicotine through pills, patches, or whatever. The thing to be concerned about with these types of aids is that they are somewhat counterproductive. Yes, you may not be smoking your nicotine but you are still administering it in another way. So, in a way you are only quitting smoking nicotine for the time being while still having that need for nicotine.

The truth of the matter when it comes to quitting smoking is that there are literally hundreds if not thousands of stop smoking programs available online. Just by going a quick Google search you have the ability to gain access to as many stop smoking programs as your heart desires. Now, while using a stop smoking program has worked for many and can work for you, this doesn’t mean that any old program is worth pursuing. It’s one thing to be confronted with hundreds of stop smoking programs and it’s another to be confronted with programs that actually deliver results. Because if a program doesn’t cover all aspects of quitting smoking thoroughly then there really isn’t a point to pursuing it. Look at it this way, if you decide to try out a stop smoking program that leaves out important information such as how to keep yourself motivated or proven techniques to quit smoking then you are just setting yourself up for failure. And if you’ve already tried to quit smoking numerous times then I’m sure you aren’t too keen on failing yet again. This is why, if you are interested in trying out a program for smoking cessation, you need to give any program up for debate a thorough analysis.

Just Because It’s A Stop Smoking Program Doesn’t Mean It Will Help You Quit

Whenever shopping around for a new product it is always important to do comparisons and figure out which products offer you everything you need. This is part of being a smart consumer. And so, if you are someone who is trying to quit smoking with the help of a program you need to be applying smart consumerism. Basically, you can’t purchase a stop smoking program for the hell of it. You want to make sure that your investment in a quit smoking program is going to be a good one. An investment giving you just as much as you put into it in terms of time and money. Unfortunately, many programs fail to deliver a service that benefits you, the smoker, in the end.

This is why it is important to realize that just because it’s a stop smoking program it doesn’t mean it will allow you to quit your addiction. Simply put, a large portion of programs for quitting smoking fail to deliver. There are a variety of reasons as to why some stop smoking programs don’t deliver and honestly I couldn’t cover all of the without making this article a novel. This is why, if you look below, you’ll see that I’ve listed some of the most prominent reasons as to why some stop smoking programs fail to deliver.

Some stop smoking programs fail to deliver because…

They lack thorough information and help

They don’t cover all aspects of eliminating addiction such as the aspect of psychological addiction

They are based around unproven techniques/methods

The list goes on and on. The only thing you need to keep in mind is that you really need to examine the stop smoking program before going on with it. That’s really all there is to it. As long as you can really look into a program and determine whether or not it is a quality program you’ll be A ok. It is all about your time and money in the end so it is very much worth it to do a little “work” up front if you can even call it that. With all of that said, good luck on your journey to quit smoking!

I think that many would agree that the reason why many smokers start smoking is because of friends and social situations. If you think about it, the reason any of us smoke cigarettes is because of something “social”. At some point in our lives we need to experience smoking socially if we are going to accept. We might see our parents smoke, we might see our friends smoke, we might see people smoking on TV…the types of social smoking encounters goes on and on. So, what is the point to all of this talk? The point I am trying to drive home here is the issue of smoking situations. Smoking when around friends or in social situations is an obvious trigger for a smoker. If you are with friends that smoke then you are are going to smoke yourself. It’s just going to happen. Social activities are one of the many triggers of smoking. There are many other situations where we find ourselves wanting a smoke and this is what I’d like to discuss in this article.

If you’re a smoker and you would like to stop smoking then you absolutely need to identify “your” smoking situations. What kinds of situations do you find yourself smoking in all of the time? When do you find it natural to smoke a cigarette? These are the types of questions you need to ask yourself. You need to dig into that head of yours and really analyze all of the types of situations you regularly find yourself smoking in. Obviously, this alone will not allow you to stop smoking. Simply identifying situations that you regularly smoke in isn’t the actual active part of this technique. I’ll get to that in a bit. Now, if you really want to get serious about things and are truly committed to quitting then I highly suggest that you literally write down different situations you find yourself smoking in regularly. Yes, this means carrying a pen and paper with you throughout your day and writing down all of the situations you are smoking in. If you find yourself smoking a cigarette at breakfast along with some coffee then write it down. If you have a smoke to kill some time before your bus arrives then write it down. If you are smoking…then write down the situation! The whole point of identifying your own smoking situations is to remember them and to become aware of them. If you are just tell yourself that you are smoking while having some coffee then it isn’t going to stick. Writing things down allows you to have a physical copy of your smoking habits which in turn will make your smoking situations stick in your brain. This is what you want.

When you have begun to see your smoking habits you can start acting on them. Becoming fully aware of your smoking situations is the first step towards acting on them. This is what allows you to take your smoking situations on and correct them. I realize that it isn’t this easy but it is a formula that works if you can work with it. Once you have begun to realize that you are always smoking in the morning with a cup of coffee, always smoking when you’re bored, always smoking when you’re with friends, always smoking after a stressful event, and so on, you will be able to compensate for these events. The issue of eliminating your smoking habits is still there but it is there in a much more manageable way. When you begin to see that you are always smoking in certain types of situations then you can prepare yourself for them. For example, if you are someone who tends to smoke a lot when you are anxious or stressed out then you know you are using cigarettes as a vice. If this is the case then you can prepare for this type of smoking situation by using another vice. Instead of smoking a cigarette you could open up to a friend, workout, take a nap, and so on. The goal in this type of smoking situation is to find another vice, preferably a healthy one, for your stress and anxiety. It is all about swapping out the smoking for something else. This applies to all smoking situations. You need to identify what is causing you to smoke in certain situations and either totally eliminate the factor or deal with the cause in a non-smoking manner.
